Death on Manitoba First Nation Ruled a Homicide

RCMP Crest LogoManitoba RCMP are investigating the death of a 27-year-old man on the Pauingassi First Nation.

The victim was found unresponsive shortly after 5 a.m. on Christmas Eve and transported to the local nursing station where he succumbed to his injuries. The death is being treated as a homicide.

The name of the deceased is not being released. An autopsy has been scheduled in Winnipeg later today.

RCMP continue to investigate.
