A new play based on the timeless novel by Charlotte Brontë opens up at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre on January 9.
“Jane Eyre” opens on the John Hirsch Mainstage, following Jane as she leaves behind a destitute childhood and finds work as a governess, only to fall in love with her employer — the unattainable Mr. Rochester. Amid rumours of a mysterious presence at Thornfield Hall, Jane embraces love on her terms and finds her own unique voice.
Tickets start at $25 and are available through the MTC box office by calling (204) 942-6537 A limited number of $15 rush tickets are available at noon on the day of the performance for those 21 and under at MTC.mb.ca/rush.
Jane Eyre runs until February 1. A special preview performance is January 8.
