Painting is History - Christian Worthington

Christian Worthington’s ‘Painting is History #5’

A popular exhibit at Gurevich Fine Art is being held over for the month of January.

Christian Worthington’s Three will be on display until January 25.

Worthington, who resides in Winnipeg, has had his large abstracts and representational paintings shown in, and sold to, private and public collections all across North America and the UK, hanging alongside the prized works of Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso.

A life-long student of the works and legacies of the Old Masters (most notably Caravaggio, Rembrandt, as well as modern masters Rothko, and Frankenthaler), Worthington’s paintings dually reflect the meticulous and well-plotted techniques of the masters, and the contemporary sensibilities of the Modern painters.

The gallery at 62 Albert Street is open Monday-Wednesday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
