Heart Month is in February and the Heart and Stroke Foundation (HSF) in Manitoba is in need of volunteer canvassers.
Heart Month is an essential fundraiser, helping the foundation achieve its goals of preventing disease, saving lives, and promoting recovery.
“We have a large and dedicated base of volunteer canvassers who make the Foundation’s Heart Month campaign possible, but we need a few more Manitobans,” said Heather Carroll, community fundraising programs manager. “Even four hours of volunteer time can make a big difference.”
Canvassers solicit donations door-to-door in their community anytime throughout the month of February.
In 2013, HSF raised $585,000, across the province, for the Heart Month campaign. The goal for the 2014 campaign is $700,000.
