A fundraiser for the Voices scholarship program is being held on Thursday evening.
Voices: Manitoba’s Youth in Care Network is a self-advocacy group for youth in or from foster care from ages 12-30.
The Super Scholars fundraiser at Manitoba Hydro Place will take on a superheroes theme to raise funds and awareness for the challenges youth in care face. Money raised will also help Voices to educate the public and work with child welfare professionals to create a better system of care in Manitoba.
The fundraiser runs from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will include a number of silent auction prizes.
Tickets are $20 and available from the third floor at 61 Juno Street.
