Business is continuing as usual at St. Boniface Hospital after a chemical spill Thursday morning.
Staff say formalin was spilled in the receiving area of the hospital at 10 a.m.
No patients, visitors, or staff were at risk as a result of the spill.
The hazardous materials unit was called and a response team is cleaning up the spill.
One of the most common uses for formalin is in vaccines as a preservative.
