A 30-year-old woman was stabbed on Wednesday after refusing to give up her keys to a carjacker.
The victim was brushing snow off her vehicle in the 100 block of Marbury Road at around 6 a.m. when the assault occurred. She had also just placed her six-year-old daughter inside, but was able to remove her before the vehicle was stolen.
Winnipeg police say the woman was stabbed in the lower body and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect, whose race wasn’t reported, is described as approximately 40-years-old, tall with a skinny build and small moustache. He was wearing a white jacket possibly with yellow and other colours.
The vehicle is a 1998 green four-door Honda Accord bearing Manitoba licence plate GMX 393.
