Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police are looking for a suspicious man after they say he approached a boy waiting for his school bus.

The incident happened on Wednesday at around 8:20 a.m. at Kingsbury Avenue and Aikins Street. Police say an unknown man approached the boy and began asking him questions. The suspect later walked away to a nearby black van when the school bus arrived.

The next morning, the boy was waiting for the bus with his mother when the same man drove by and parked a short distance away. It appeared he was watching the two from a distance, police said. Before officers could arrive, the suspect had fled the area.

Police are looking for an Asian man, approximately 5’4″ tall with a medium build. He was driving a dirty black van with windows and sliding doors on both sides.

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-2848 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
