Winnipeg police have identified the man found deceased inside a home on Andrews Street over the weekend.
Police say Justin Desmarais, 24, was found Sunday. An autopsy to determine the cause of death is pending.
Police were called to the William Whyte neighbourhood at around 3 p.m. on Sunday, where they say it’s believed the man became involved in an altercation inside the home.
Homicide investigators are still conducting interviews with witnesses.
The death marks the city’s first homicide of 2014.

UPDATE: March 31, 2014 — Police have arrested Justin Atelard Catcheway, 30, and charged him with second-degree murder.
