January 24, 2014 4:15 PM | News

RCMP Crest LogoOne man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning on Highway 16.

The accident happened about 20 kilometres east of Neepawa when an eastbound car spun out of control and hit a westbound pickup truck.

The car was being driven by a 69-year-old man at the time when it hit the truck with two passengers inside.

Richard Gutowski was pronounced deceased at the scene. Those travelling in the pickup were treated for their injuries.

Highway 16 was closed for roughly three hours while police investigated.

RCMP say due to the warmer temperatures roads can be slippery and people should take extra care while driving on the highway.
