The Winnipeg Goldeyes have re-signed infielder Casey Haerther for the 2014 season.
The 26-year-old hit .307 with 10 home runs and a team-leading 66 RBI in 97 games with the Goldeyes last season. His 32 extra base hits were third on the team. Defensively, he had a .995 fielding percentage at first base.
“He had a great season for us last year,” manager Rick Forney said. “He’s a very productive offensive player, but one of the things I like best about Casey is that he has a really good glove at first base. He has sure hands, good feet around the bag and makes the routine play with consistency.”
The Goldeyes now have 11 players signed for the 2014 season, including six pitchers and five position players.
