University of Manitoba swimmer Dillon Perron won four medals over the weekend at the 2014 Canada West Swimming Championship in Calgary.
Perron, 22, earned two silver medals in the men’s 200m breaststroke (2:13.21) and 50m butterfly (24.64) plus bronze medal performances in the men’s 50m breaststroke (28.61) and in the 100m breaststroke (1:01.86).
Fellow Bison Kimberley Moors had two fourth-place swims in women’s 50m butterfly and freestyle.
“Dillon swam very well this weekend by reaching the podium on four occasions and setting a new provincial record,” Bison head coach Vlastik Cerny said on Sunday. “Kim also had strong swims and just missed out on a podium finish. We had several fast swims by both teams and pleased will our overall results at this conference championship.”
