A 59-year-old man was killed Monday morning after a single-vehicle rollover on the Trans-Canada Highway.
The crash happened shortly after 9:30 a.m. 1.5 km west of the Highway 12 junction.
RCMP say the vehicle rolled and stopped in the median between the westbound and eastbound lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway. Both people in the vehicle were taken to hospital in Ste. Anne, Manitoba. The 73-year-old female driver has life-threatening injuries, while her 59-year-old passenger was pronounced deceased.
Slippery conditions are considered to be a factor in the collision, police say.
The name of the man isn’t being released.
UPDATE: Tuesday, February 4 — The 73-year-old woman has since succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
