Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament Returning to Fight Cancer

February 10, 2014 9:30 AM | News

The largest rock, paper, scissors tournament in the country is back for another year to support CancerCare Manitoba.

Handemonium 2014 is expecting to see 1,000 people come out to the University of Manitoba on March 22 to put their hands to the test.

“We are positioned to be CancerCare Manitoba’s largest fundraising event in the month of March, which is also Colon Cancer Awareness Month,” said organizer Jeff Wall.

More than $10,000 was raised for the cause last year, with organizers hoping to double that this year.

Registration for the 18+ event is $20 and prize packages range from $250 to $1500. Prizes are awarded to the individual and team who raise the most money and the winners of each weight class.

Handemonium will be held from 1-4 p.m. in University Centre on the U of M’s Fort Garry campus.
