The Winnipeg Goldeyes have re-signed left-handed pitcher Chris Salamida for the 2014 season.
The 29-year-old has played the last four seasons with the Goldeyes. He returned to the team halfway through last season, where he went 7-1 with a 2.23 ERA in nine starts and won six consecutive starts from August 6-28.
“He’s a front of the rotation guy and an intense competitor,” manager Rick Forney said. “He seems to get better with each passing year in our league. He’s matured into a No. 1 starter in this league. We have high expectations for him to come in and lead our rotation.”
