Two people are facing charges after a Winnipeg police drug investigation dating back to the fall of last year.
Officers executed a search warrant on Wednesday at a home in the 200 block of Alfred Avenue. Police uncovered 221 marijuana plants, 34 pounds of dry marijuana and grow-op equipment, along with $2,800 in cash. The estimated value of items seized is $344,440.
A 31-year-old woman and 50-year-old man, both from Winnipeg, were arrested at the scene and face numerous drug-related charges.
The suspects were released on promises to appear.
