Brandon’s Assiniboine Community College will play host to Hockey Manitoba’s senior female provincials from March 14-16.
Nine teams will compete at the provincials when they’re held at the Optimist and Kinsmen arenas at the Keystone Centre.
“We are excited to have home town advantage this year, our team has worked very hard in all of our games and practices and we are ready to compete at the provincials,” said Terry Arksey, head coach of the ACC Cougar women’s hockey team. “Our goal is to win and represent Manitoba at the Western Canadian Shield Woman’s Hockey Championship.”
Winning teams from both the senior ‘A’ and ‘B’ categories will go on to represent the province at the Western Canadian Shield Senior Women’s Hockey Championship, scheduled for April 10 to 13 in Red Deer, Alberta.
