East coast rocker Matt Mays and Saskatoon band The Sheepdogs have been added to the lineup of the 2014 Juno Awards.
The awards show will be broadcast from Winnipeg’s MTS Centre on Sunday, March 30 and air on CTV.
The Sheepdogs’ performance will honour Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductees Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO).
“We’re thrilled to be paying tribute to our musical forefathers BTO, and it’s extra sweet to do it in the great rock ‘n roll town of Winnipeg,” said The Sheepdogs lead vocalist and guitarist Ewan Currie.
Also scheduled to perform are Robin Thicke, Serena Ryder, Tegan and Sara, and Walk Off The Earth. City and Colour pulled out of the Junos after not receiving a nomination.
Tickets for the Juno Awards go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. CT through Ticketmaster. Prices range from $39 to $189.
