Power 97With Valentine’s Day on Friday, local radio station Power 97 has come up with a way for listeners to dispose of mementos from past relationships.

Called the “RelationChipper,” morning show hosts Cam Carson, Vicki Shae and TJ Connors will throw unwanted items through a six-foot wood chipper.

“Valentine’s Day is a love it or hate it holiday,” said Carson. “This year we felt it was necessary to offer people who dislike the holiday the option to celebrate in a really memorable and let’s say… explosive way.”

The RelationChipper will be placed in the Power 97 parking lot at 1440 Jack Blick Avenue between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Friday.

Listeners can drop off their items for the chipper at the station’s front desk until 4:30 p.m. today.
