A fight at a minor hockey league game in Winnipeg on Sunday has sparked a police investigation over an alleged assault.
Video of the incident was posted to YouTube, which shows a referee going down to the ice with a player as parents hurl profanity at officials from the stands.
The fracas happened at the Southdale Community Centre and involved players, parents and hockey officials.
The publisher of the video said a 12-year-old boy went to hospital with a broken wrist, back sprain and a bruised shoulder.
Winnipeg police attended the community centre just after 2 p.m. and say no charges have been laid, but they continue to investigate.
