The second and final weekend of the 45th annual Festival du Voyageur is ready to unfold.
Voyageur Park will host a flurry of activity over the next three days, including some stellar musical acts. Attica Riots, The F-holes, Smokebox, Bros. Landreth, JD Edwards Band and Royal Canoe are all scheduled to perform, along with a slew of others.
On Saturday, the popular Mascot Challenge will begin at 3 p.m., rounding up some of the city’s best known mascots to compete in a fun challenge.
Manitoba Film and Music is also presenting a selection of short films by Manitoba artists and Canadian National Film Board shorts on Saturday. They will be projected on the east fort tower of Fort Gibraltar, and from 6 p.m. to midnight on the south tower.
To wrap up festivities, the closing ceremony will take place Sunday at 5 p.m. in the MTS Rivière-Rouge Tent.
