After finishing the regular Canada West season in fourth place, the Manitoba Bison men’s hockey team will host the Mount Royal Cougars this weekend.
Manitoba enters the best-of-three quarterfinal series with a 12-12-4 record, while the Cougars come in at 11-14-3 and will be making their first ever post-season appearance.
The Bisons have a 3-1 record against Mount Royal from earlier in the season. In the second half of this season, the Herd had a 5-4-3 record and secured points at home in eight of the last 12 contests.
Puck drop is tonight and Saturday at 7 p.m. (Wayne Fleming Arena). A third game will be played Sunday at 3 p.m. if necessary.
Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $7 for student and seniors, and children under six are free.
