The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed homegrown talent by adding defensive back Donovan Alexander to the roster.
The Winnipeg-born player has spent the past three seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos, recording 121 defensive tackles, five special teams tackles and seven interceptions, while playing in 51 regular season games, and three playoff games during that time.
The 28-year-old played his high school football with St. Pauls and was drafted in the third round of the 2007 CFL Draft by the Montreal Alouettes.
“We are very pleased to add not only a talented football player, but also someone who grew up in Winnipeg and understands the importance of Blue Bomber football in our community. It was a great fit for both parties,” said general manager Kyle Walters.
