The University of Winnipeg Wesmen have signed Karissa Kuhr to the women’s volleyball team for next season.
The 5’11” outside hitter from Fort McMurray, Alberta is currently in her third season with the Red Deer College Queens. Kuhr also played a vital role in leading the Queens to an ACAC (Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference) provincial championship this past weekend.
“She is a well-polished student-athlete who understands the commitment and demands of elite level volleyball,” said head coach Diane Scott. “She will bring her wealth of achievement, both academic and athletic into our team and have an immediate impact.”
Kuhr will make her debut with the Wesmen in September when the 2014-15 Canada West season begins.
