Manitoba MusicA group of Manitoba musicians are heading south of the border to perform at a popular U.S. music festival.

South by Southwest (SXSW) is held annually in Austin, Texas and runs this year from March 11-16.

Canada House will host the Manitoba Showcase, as local musicians Royal Canoe, acclaimed singer/songwriter JP Hoe, pop/rock pair Mise en Scene, and indie rock band Federal Lights all perform.

The event also presents an opportunity for musicians to network with other industry members and provide an outlet to expose their talents to a wider audience.

Other Manitoba acts playing in Austin during SXSW include hip hop act Grand Analog and singer/songwriter Scott Nolan.
