The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have released quarterback Justin Goltz, while acquiring import QB Brian Brohm from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2015 CFL Draft.
Goltz played his first game in the starting position on July 26 last year following an injury to then-QB Buck Pierce.
Brohm is a Louisville native that spent his first CFL season in Hamilton in 2013, where he played in one preseason game, completing 5 of 10 passes for 110 yards before being injured. Brohm was placed on the nine-game injured list for the remainder of the season.
Previous to last season, Brohm spent time in the UFL and NFL, most recently with Las Vegas and Buffalo, respectively.
