Manitoba Bisons track and field relay teams placed sixth over the weekend at the 2014 CIS T&F Championship in Edmonton Alberta.
Both the Bison men’s 4x200m (1:29.62) and men’s 4x400m (3:19.87) ended the weekend out of a top spot, with the Herd falling to the 17th spot overall with 12 points.

“We were pleased with the results of the weekend. For the most part, our athletes and relay teams moved up in the rankings from the pre-Championships rankings. This year has been a good step towards bringing Bison Track & Field back to the CIS top level teams,” said head coach Claude Berube.
Bison fifth year Amanda Gundrum was 11th in the women’s triple jump (11.32m) while second year Tamara Paetsch was tied for 11th with a height of 1.60m in the women’s high jump event.
