March 13, 2014 8:04 AM | Sports

Winnipeg Goldeyes LogoThe Winnipeg Goldeyes have found their voice and his name is Steve Schuster.

Schuster will be the team’s new radio broadcaster and replaces Paul Edmonds, who departed in January to work at TSN Radio 1290.

Schuster is a seasoned American Association broadcaster and had been the director of broadcasting and media relations for the Wichita Wingnuts for the past six seasons.

“Replacing someone of Paul Edmonds’ status is difficult, but Steve is going to be a big asset to the organization,” Goldeyes GM Andrew Collier said. “We owe it to our fans to have one of the best broadcasters in independent professional baseball. Steve certainly fits that requirement. I am convinced our fans will enjoy his call on Goldeyes radio broadcasts for years to come.”

Schuster will begin his duties with the Goldeyes on Monday, March 17 and host the second edition of the “Inside Pitch” on The Jewel 101 (100.7 FM) on Thursday, March 20 from 7-9 p.m.
