The Winnipeg Humane Society’s first-ever Celebrity Dog Bowl Auction begins today, where animal lovers can bid on one-of-a-kind bowls signed by celebrities.
Bowls up for auction include those signed by George Takei, Rihanna, Fleetwood Mac, Carrie Underwood, Joan Rivers, Cesar Millan, and others. A total of 20 bowls will be auctioned off in support of the WHS.
“On top of being actors, singers, and athletes — these people are all huge animal lovers. In between takes of their latest movie or recording a new song, they took the time to sign a bowl,” said Bill McDonald, WHS CEO. “This is a huge gesture, as it helps raise awareness and much-needed funds for the thousands of animals that come through our doors.”
The bowls were donated and decorated by Winnipeg’s Brush Fire Ceramic Studio.
