The Manitoba Bisons have recruited Amanda Wong for the women’s soccer team.
Wong, 17, will make her debut in the upcoming 2014 season as a forward/midfielder.
Wong was named as Manitoba Soccer Association Outstanding Youth Female Player of the Year for 2013. She has also amassed an impressive playing résumé so far in her young career as the St. John’s Ravenscourt School MVP for 2011 and 2013 while being captain of the high school team from 2012-14.
“She will have a very positive impact on our team in the upcoming years and I look forward to mentoring her and helping her as much as I can to continue developing as a soccer player, student, young coach and human being,” said Bisons head coach Vanessa Martinez Lagunas.
