Wrong GPS directions landed an Ontario woman under arrest for drug possession.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) says on February 11 a vehicle approached the Emerson West Lynne border crossing in southern Manitoba. The woman behind the wheel said she was travelling from British Columbia to Ontario, but followed directions to the port instead.
After asking border officers for directions, a secondary search of her vehicle was conducted. Officers seized six garbage bags of marijuana totalling 1,500 grams.
The woman said she was transporting the marijuana on behalf of a third party.
She was placed under arrest by RCMP and fined $6,050.
