The Assiniboine Park Conservancy is looking for more than 200 volunteers in advance of the Journey to Churchill exhibit opening this summer.
Volunteers will provide general support throughout the park and zoo for returning events and activities, including the Red River Co-op Summer Entertainment Series, Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Zoo Tram and the DOMO Double Decker Bus.
“There is so much happening this spring and summer at Assiniboine Park and so many ways for volunteers to get involved,” said Jill Knaggs, APC manager of volunteer resources. “Our volunteers play an integral role in ensuring that each visitor has an extraordinary experience every time they visit.”
Volunteer opportunities are open to anyone aged 16 years or older. A recruitment fair will be held Tuesday, April 1 from 6-8 p.m. in the Qualico Family Centre located beside the Riley Family Duck Pond.
