Impaired Driving Charges Laid in Swan River Crash

RCMP Crest LogoA 33-year-old Minitonas man is facing impaired driving charges after his pickup truck hit a tree in Swan River.

RCMP were called to the crash on Wednesday night in the 300 block of 7th Avenue South.

Police say the 27-year-old female passenger was taken to Swan River Health Centre for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver was released from police custody today and is also facing charges of driving without a licence, and driving an unregistered vehicle.

He will appear in court on May 21.
