Teen Breaks Free from Attempted Abduction in St. Vital

Winnipeg Police CrestA 17-year-old girl was able to break free from an attempted abduction on Saturday evening.

Winnipeg police say the teen was walking in the area of Sterling Avenue and Homewood Drive at around 10 p.m. when she was approached by three men in a vehicle.

One of the men asked the teen if she wanted a ride home. After being ignored by the victim, the vehicle circled around again where the passenger jumped out and grabbed the victim by the arm. He demanded she get inside the vehicle, but the teen was able to run away.

Two of the suspects are described as being Caucasian men in their 20s. The first suspect had blonde hair and was wearing a toque and dark jacket, while the second suspect was tall with a skinny build and brown hair. He was wearing a black jacket.

A description of the third suspect isn’t available.

The vehicle is described as a two-door blue Pontiac Sunfire.
