A 45-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being hit by a taxicab early Monday morning in Transcona.
The accident happened around 1 a.m. on Regent Avenue near Stapon Road.
Winnipeg police say the cab, being driven by a 60-year-old man, had been travelling eastbound on Regent Avenue approaching the intersection of Stapon Road when the victim was struck by the vehicle.
The man was rushed to hospital in critical condition with lower body injuries, but has since been upgraded to sable.
