Polo Park Shopping Centre (TOURISM WINNIPEG)
Polo Park Shopping Centre is the latest target for scam artists trying to cash on unsuspecting shoppers.
The mall took to Twitter late Monday to inform customers of a scam currently making the rounds.
“Please be advised that we have been made aware of a voice automated service calling citizens in Winnipeg,” the mall’s website read. “The message states that the last purchase our customers made at Polo Park has been selected to win a prize. Please note this is not a contest that Polo Park has implemented, nor do we support this promotion. We have reported this contest to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.”
Those who receive the call can report it directly online or by calling 1-888-495-8501.
