A traffic stop in Portage la Prairie turned up a surprise drug bust for RCMP.
Police say they pulled over a speeding vehicle on March 22. During the stop, officers located one kilogram of cocaine and a substantial amount of cash.
Jeffery John Salas, 25, of Winnipeg has been charged with drug-related offences and proceeds of crime over $5,000.
He was released from custody on a promise to appear in court on May 5.
