Manitoba Campsite Reservations Open Monday

Reservations to book a campsite in Manitoba open to the public on Monday, April 7.

Most campgrounds will open on May 9 while northern campgrounds and, weather permitting, those along the lakes will open May 16.

Watchorn campground, devastated by flooding in 2011, is scheduled to reopen on June 20. In Spruce Woods, Kiche Manitou campground will open May 9 while the flood-damaged lower campground is scheduled to reopen June 27 with a number of upgrades including new flood-proof washroom facilities, road improvements and landscaping.

Reservations can be made online at 7 a.m. or by calling (204) 948-3333 (in Winnipeg) or 1-888-482-2267. Walk-in reservations and in-person payment arrangements can be made at 200 Saulteaux Crescent in Winnipeg weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Reservations for cabins, group-use sites, yurts and Birds Hill Provincial Park campsites opened March 24.
