FIFAAdditional volunteers are being sought to help out at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015.

Winnipeg is one of several Canadian host cities where players will compete over the 23-day period. Each city will host four teams, with Investors Group Field at the University of Manitoba hosting the games locally.

Last October, a national program was launched to fill volunteer positions across the country.

“We are excited to welcome volunteers who are dedicated to promoting the women’s game and to contributing to the overall success of both competitions,” said Peter Montopoli, the tournament’s CEO. “It’s a testament to the passion football inspires in Canadians and we are thrilled to be helping bring incredible world-class soccer to Canadians from coast to coast.”

More than 4,000 people have already registered. To sign up, visit FIFA.com.
