Education, Safety Focus of Manitoba’s Heavy Construction EXPO

MHCA Heavy Construction EXPO The Manitoba Heavy Construction Association is beginning their annual three-day conference in Winnipeg today.

MHCA’s Heavy Construction EXPO will cover 57 different courses and is Manitoba’s premier education and safety conference.

Held at the Victoria Inn, the EXPO will blend industry required education, meaningful human resources initiatives and effective safety education to address labour shortages and skill level challenges in Manitoba’s heavy construction.

“EXPO is designed to support workforce development for Manitoba’s heavy construction and related industries. Our collective theme is A Skilled Worker is a Safe Worker and EXPO supports this,” said MHCA president Chris Lorenc. “From supervisors to project managers to safety leaders to construction management students, EXPO has the high quality training industry is demanding.”

The week also includes 34 exhibitors and hands-on interactive workshops for attendees.
