Winnipeg police have made an arrest in a shooting that sent a teen to hospital on Monday afternoon.
Officers were called to the 600 block of Manitoba Avenue at around 2 p.m. after reports of shots fired. A 17-year-old boy was found with upper body injuries and rushed to hospital in critical condition, where he was later upgraded to stable.
Police say the victim and another male were inside the residence when two male suspects forced their way in. When the victims tried to flee, one of them was shot.
One of the suspects was arrested at around 11 p.m. in the 400 block of Flora Avenue without incident. Jordan Joseph Owen, 20, is facing a number of charges, including two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
