Winnipeg police are investigating a homicide after a man was shot in the 300 block of Alexander Avenue on Saturday.
Police say the victim fled a residence after sustaining his injury and wound up in the 400 block of Pacific Avenue shortly after 5 p.m.
Police found the injured man and he was immediately taken to hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
The deceased has been identified as Geoffrey Oliver Reid, 27, of Winnipeg. Results of an autopsy are pending.
No charges have been laid and police continue to conduct interviews.

UPDATE: Thursday, April 17 — Tristan Stewart Bradburn, 21, of Winnipeg has been charged with second-degree murder and failure to comply with a probation order. He remains in custody.
