Price Chopper, 677 Stafford Street (GOOGLE STREET VIEW)
The North West Company has purchased the Price Chopper grocery store on Stafford Street.
The sale of the Sobeys-owned store comes as one of the guidelines set out relating to its purchase of Canada Safeway last year.
North West will now operate 10 stores in Winnipeg together with a distribution centre and its head office, employing a total of 1,227 people.
The store will continue to carry the Price Chopper name and no employees will lose their jobs as a result.
