Shawn Pallister Commits to Wesmen Basketball

University of Winnipeg WesmenShawn Pallister of the Oak Park Raiders women’s basketball team has committed to the Winnipeg Wesmen for the upcoming 2014-15 Canada West season.

The 6’1″ player averaged 12 points and 13 rebounds per game for the Raiders this past season, and played an integral part in helping the Raiders reach the semifinals of the 2014 MHSAA AAAA Provincial Championships.

“We are very excited Shawn has chosen our Wesmen program for her university basketball career,” said head coach Tanya McKay. “A very talented athlete who is just on the edge and ready to blossom into a very good university basketball player.

Pallister was a proud member of the Manitoba U17 Provincial Team that captured a bronze medal at the 2013 Canada Summer Games held in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
