This summer’s MTS Super-Spike volleyball tournament will be headlined by Arkells and July Talk.
The two-day event at Maple Grove Rugby Park is July 18-19 and brings out hundreds of teams each year.
Team registration is open now and early bird tickets will go on sale this Friday.
Named the 2012 Juno Group of the Year, Hamilton’s Arkells are known for their hit records Jackson Square and Michigan Left, garnishing such hits as “Oh the Boss is Coming,” “Ballad of Hugo Chavez,” and “Whistle Blower.”
The rock outfit will be joined by 2014 Juno Breakthrough Group of the Year July Talk, whose song “Guns and Ammunition” caught fire on the Canadian rock charts this past year.
To date, Super-Spike has raised more than $700,000 in support of the Winnipeg-based National Women’s Volleyball Team.
Tournament participants receive free access to the concerts and on-site festivities. For more details, visit SuperSpike.ca.
