Man Who Approached Young Boy Also Targeted Girl: Police

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police said a man who asked a seven-year-old boy if he needed money also targeted a young girl the same day.

On Monday, police were told the man approached the boy at lunch time on Euclid Avenue near Hallet Street and offered the boy money. The child ran back to his school and told a teacher.

Thanks to media reports, police found out the same man stopped a 12-year-old girl near the intersection of Higgins Avenue and Main Street at about 4:30 p.m. and offered her a ride. The girl ran and notified a parent.

Police are looking for a black male, 40-45 years old, with medium length black hair, moustache and wearing a black hoodie. He continuously brushed his hair out of his eyes. He was last seen driving a black truck with dirty tires and an open box that appeared newer.
