Jet-setters wanting to fly directly to New York City and Prince George, BC from Calgary now have that option.
WestJet announced the new routes over the weekend, which saw its inaugural flights take to the skies on Sunday.
“John F. Kennedy International Airport is the busiest international passenger gateway in the United States and a hub for our U.S. partners, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines,” said John Weatherill, WestJet’s director of network and schedule planning. “With our WestJet code on some 17 flights from JFK, this new daily non-stop service from Calgary offers Canadians low fares and our remarkable guest experience to even more destinations around the world.”
The new route also means easier access to Manhattan via AirTrain JFK.
The daily U.S. flight will run you $311.09 (including all fees) for a one-way trip.
The Calgary-Prince George route and vice versa will run travellers between $190 and $200 for a one-way ticket.
