Elmwood-Transcona MP Lawrence Toet is inviting local organizations to propose projects to advance economic opportunities for women.
A call for proposals has been opened by Status of Women Canada until June 13, 2014 for project objectives will fall into three thematic areas:
- Increasing or strengthening economic opportunities for entrepreneurial and professional women
- Advancing women in various sectors through mentorship/sponsorship
- Collaborating to advance the financial preparedness of women
“I encourage all interested women and community organizations in Elmwood-Transcona to apply to further opportunities for women and girls in our community to build successful careers and businesses,” Toet said in a statement.
