Winnipeg will play host to the second annual Culture Days National Congress on Culture next month.
The two-day congress, held at the Winnipeg Art Gallery from May 22-23, will feature a provocative list of keynote speakers, panellists, cultural experts as well engaged participants from across the country.
Over the past four years, Culture Days has become a vibrant portal to increase the awareness, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities.
“We are thrilled and honoured to welcome the National Congress to one of Canada’s most culturally engaged cities,” said Culture Days Manitoba co-chairs Jean Giguère. “This event is a wonderful opportunity for all facets of the arts and culture community from across the country to come together.”
Heading into its fifth anniversary edition on September 26-28, Culture Days organizers anticipate some 8,000 free activities to be part of the pan-Canadian celebration in over 800 cities and towns.
