A single-vehicle rollover on Highway 45 has killed a man from Elphinstone, Manitoba.
The accident happened just before 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday about 16 km east of Russell.
RCMP say the man’s minivan was travelling east when it left the road and ended up on its roof in several feet of water. It landed in the north ditch.
The 36-year-old driver was taken to hospital in Russell where he was pronounced deceased.
The victim was wearing a seatbelt at the time, but alcohol has not been ruled out as a factor.
Police say the crash isn’t a result of flood-related conditions in the area.
